Privacy Policy

Walk Window ("we", "the app") helps you find the best time to step outside. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We do not sell your data, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

What we collect

• Location (precise or approximate) — used only to fetch local weather and compute your walk window. Your coordinates and a derived city name are stored on your account to power notifications and the morning forecast.
• An anonymous account identifier — created automatically (no name, email, or password required) so your streak and settings persist across launches.
• A push notification token — if you enable notifications, a device push token is stored so we can deliver reminders via Apple Push Notification service (APNs). It is used only to send you these notifications and is not shared with third parties.
• Subscription / purchase status — whether you have an active Window+ subscription.
• Mood check-ins — if you choose to log how you feel after a walk (a single tap: great, okay, or tired), stored on your account to show you your own wellness patterns over time. This is optional and you can skip it.
• Friends & social activity — if you invite a friend or accept an invite, we store the connection between your accounts and a feed of habit activity (such as windows caught, milestones reached, reactions, and nudges) so you can see and encourage each other. An optional display name you set is shown to people you are connected with.
• Basic usage — app sessions and notification interactions, to keep the app working.

How we use it

To generate your daily walk window, send the reminders you opt into, maintain your streak, and operate the Window+ subscription. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

Service providers

We share the minimum necessary with providers that process data on our behalf, each under their own privacy terms: Supabase (database & anonymous auth), Apple (Apple Push Notification service for reminders, and App Store In-App Purchases on iOS), Stripe (card payments on the web), Resend (transactional email), and Open-Meteo (weather; receives only coordinates).

Retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app. Deletion is permanent. Note: deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription — manage that in your Apple Account subscriptions.

Your choices

You can disable location and notifications in iOS Settings at any time; core features that need location will be limited without it.

Children

Walk Window is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
